DEVELOPMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIONS FOR THE TOURIST REVITALISATION OF THE AREA
With the aim of supporting the post-fire restoration of the area and enhancing biodiversity as a tourist resource, we suggest implementing various environmental measures and workshops. These will include the installation of bird feeders, nest boxes for birds and bats, insect hotels, seed bombs, and planting. We also suggest organising talks and conferences in municipalities and schools, as well as promoting the project through new content on the Descobrim tourism website. These actions will contribute to the improvement of biodiversity and natural conservation. The project encompasses the promotion of ecotourism, which includes talks and conferences in municipalities and schools. Furthermore, new content will be added to the Descobrim la Marina Alta tourism website to attract an ecotourism demand that values the preservation and conservation of the environment.
To extend the length of tourists' stays, high-quality activities will be offered to occupy their leisure time. The forest fires have limited opportunities for individual activities in the natural environment. Therefore, there is a need for educational assistance and content creation to interpret the space and construct memorable tourist experiences.
With this objective in mind, the current initiative aims to organise and conduct a sequence of complementary ecological seminars. These workshops, which provide the chance to experience the natural environment firsthand, will also help visitors leave a positive impact on the local communities that have been affected by the fire.
