Esnòrquel els Pinets
The route starts by walking down Carrer dels Pinets. There is a set of stairs and, on the left, there is a viewpoint that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the outcrop known as Penyal d'Ifac. From here, descending the stairs, the route arrives at Cala dels Pinets, where one can observe three different submerged environments, including sand, rock, and seagrass, each with its typical marine life and a maximum depth of four metres in an easily accessible space even for less experienced individuals.
Start the route from the left end of the cove, where a rocky tongue submerges into the water, forming a rocky platform at just over half a metre deep. As one moves away from the coast, rocky formations will appear, resembling submerged islets covered with colourful seagrass and algae. Here, small and colourful fish such as damselfish, saddled bream, salps, and castanets find refuge. Gradually, the route draws an open circle that takes the snorkeler to the right side of the cove, where large and polished rocks and loose stones emerge near the coast. Finally, return to the starting point after a 20-minute crossing. (1)
