El Poble Nou de Benitatxell
This route is linear. It is 275 metres long and lasts a total of 30 minutes.
The route begins halfway along the descent towards Cala del Moraig. It is a very simple route, and you just have to follow the path until you reach a viewpoint that offers beautiful views of Cala del Moraig, with the Cap de la Nau headland in the background.
When you are almost reaching the end of the route, you can observe the zone of geological interest located in this section and you can see the Moraig fault, called “vasenilla” (a name that probably originated from “bacinilla” or “bacina”, due to the resemblance of this geographical feature to a pot), and you can also observe other effects of the sea on the rocks.
