The SL-CV 99 route allows you to visit the hermitage of Santa Llúcia, which was built between the 15th and 16th centuries and is located at the top of a hill, 163 metres above sea level. While walking along this trail, you can enjoy the natural surroundings and incredible views of the municipality of Xàbia.
Start the route from the square called Plaça de la Constitució (where the health centre is located), going along Carrer Rafael Echagüe towards the secondary school. Continue walking along the avenue called Avinguda Àngel Doménech, until you reach a stone cross where Camí de Santa Llúcia begins. After about 200 metres, turn left and this track leads you to the starting panel of the route and to the path that takes you to the hermitage. Next, enter a forest and when leaving it you can see a place to take a break and admire the hermitage known as Ermita del Calvari and the cape called Cap de Sant Antoni. When you get to this hermitage, take a path to the right that takes you to the hermitage of Santa Llúcia. You can enjoy wonderful views of most of Xàbia from here, as well as views of Puig de la Llorença, Bèrnia and Montgó. What remains now is only the descent and the path goes down in a zigzag fashion, with a steep slope. Meanwhile, to your right are the walls of Santa Llúcia. Finally, continue along a path that runs through a small ravine and leads to the Santa Llúcia marquee. Afterwards, take the same path back.
