Aunt Xima's house was in Benimeli, next to the church. Currently, it belongs to the Town Hall and has become the music school of Benimeli.

Aunt Xima's house is said to be the house where the treasure from the Benimassot robbery was kept. The gang was made up of Josep de La Tona, the boss, from Pedreguer; someone from Sanet, someone from Benimeli, someone from Orba and three or four people from Pego.

The gang went to Benimassot when the whole village was at church, with a list of the wealthiest local families. Seeing that they were holding them captive in the church, all they had to do was call each one of the names on the list and then go with the person to ransack his house. This is how they managed to steal the treasure of Benimassot.

The robbery of Benimassot is a well-known story of La Marina. The gang decided to keep the treasure at the house of Aunt Xima, who was the mother-in-law of a member of the band, and everything they collected never left the house.
