In 2006, the Town Hall of Parcent acquired the house in which the writer Gabriel Miró had lived, with the intention of turning it into a cultural centre.
The building, with three floors and an interior courtyard, was built during the last part of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century, serving as a hostel between 1850 and 1910. Each floor measures approximately 90 m².
Gabriel Miró stayed in the building on several occasions and in one of its rooms he wrote the work “Del vivir: (Anotaciones de parajes leprosos)” (1), the first book of the trilogy in which the character of Sigüenza appears.
