The castle known locally as Castell de Les Atzavares is located at the entrance to the valley called La Vall de Laguar, on a topographic height of just over 350 metres. Located on the summit, on vertically-cut precipices oriented northwards, the remains of hard-consistency walls can be seen. These are rectilinear alignments that delimit two rectangular-shaped enclosures, partially excavated in the rock.

In the western part, the wall is split in two, with evidence of separation between the construction sheets, and the precinct to which it must have belonged to is in ruins. It can be clearly seen that it is a singular construction that, at some point, was a special installation, most probably a fortified precinct.
