The cave known locally as Cova de Les Calaveres is a cavity which is more than 900 metres long. The name refers to the fact that the remains of twelve people were found inside it during a speleological expedition carried out in the 17th century. The cavern stands out for its high ceilings and is divided into a flooded area of 500 metres in length and a dry area of more than 400 metres in length that can be visited. During the tour the visitor can see stalactites, stalagmites, beautiful domes which are over 20 metres high, fossils and bone remains, among many other things. The cave was inhabited by Neanderthals and Homo sapiens, as is shown by the numerous remains that one can see along the route. The visit to the cave generates an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity, as well as being very interesting and fun for children.
