Dénia

La Llotja de Dénia

The fish market, located on the ground floor of the “llotja” (market building), offers private buyers the fruit of the daily catches. This is where the catch is sold and auctioned every day.

The fish market is open from Monday to Friday, although the opening hours depend on the season of the year: in summer from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, in spring and autumn from 5.30pm to 9.00pm, and in winter from 5.30pm to 8.00pm. The arrivals of the fishing boats to the port take place from 4pm onwards, and the mechanical fish auction for professionals starts at 5pm. The access of individuals as observers is decided by the Fishermen's Guild itself.

The market operates the whole year round, except during the periods established as biological stops for fishing, which the Fishermen's Guild can give information about.
