La Vall de Laguar
The washing places of La Vall de Laguar are distributed among the towns of Benimaurell, Fleix and Campell.
Benimaurell
The washing place receives water from a two-piped fountain dated 1861. It has a trough and 24 washing areas.
The building, with a gabled roof, has a rectangular shape and is distributed in the form of a porch formed by arcades. It has five openings on the long sides and two on the narrow ones, all of them semicircular arches.
Campell
The washing place in Campell follows the same layout, with a fountain with two pipes and two troughs. The building, recently renovated, has a gable roof. It has three openings on each side, but the long ones are wider than the narrow ones. In the centre is a pillar that reaches up to the ceiling.
Font Grossa de Fleix
This washing place is located a little further from the village. The layout is similar to the others but with a different decoration. It has a rectangular shape, with four openings on the long sides and two on the narrow ones. The arches and pillars are made of tiles, and contrast with the stone walls.
In the pediment of the façade, there is a blocked oculus, and between the arcades on the sides there are open decorative oculi that let the light through. In the centre, it also has a pillar, and on one of the long sides, a wall blocks more than half of the arcades.
The fountain has four pipes and the washing areas are arranged, as in the other two, in two rows facing each other.
