By way of this route you can get to know the Penya Foradà rock close up. It is a unique arch-shaped rock which is an emblematic place in this beautiful valley, partly due to the fact that a couple of times a year the sun's rays pass through the forat (hole) and illuminate the location where an old Franciscan convent used to be.

We will start from the road, just in front of the small square, taking the steep path that goes up to Benitaia and, once inside the village, we will border it on the left and take the path to the convent. Following this asphalted road, you will arrive at the point where the circular route starts. On the left we will go along “el passet” the Benissivà by the threshing floor and the Corral del Tio Camilo and the Cova Obrada del Moro.

The ascent through El Passet the Benissivà through abandoned fields, the foot of the cliffs and fallen rocks, heading east until you reach the "passet" where you will find the threshing floor and the farmyard. At this point, turn west and continue along the crest on the sunny side of the Foradada mountain range. Very close to connecting with the path that climbs up through Cova d’en Moragues, you will find the Coveta Obrada del Moro. It is a spectacular place, an old corral that makes use of a large shelter walled in with stone. It must have been a shelter and watchtower, or perhaps a prison.

Continuing along the path, on the left, right next to some smooth stones, the path that comes from the Alcalà and Ebo valleys joins the path that comes from the Alcalà and Ebo valleys. Together they lead us to the one coming from Benitaia, Alpatró or Carroja, and folded together they bring us closer to the foot of the Penya Foradà. Once we return to the hole, we will be able to observe the magnificent views of the valley down to the sea. The descent is in the direction of the Cova d'en Moragues to Benissiva.
