La Vall de Gallinera
This route connects the eight villages of La Vall de Gallinera. A simple route which is perfect to do with children, getting to know the charms of the villages and their history, culture, architecture and, in general, the natural environment of La Vall de Gallinera.
This route is a linear route, with a length of 14 km in one direction. It begins at the Font de la Mata spring near Benirrama, continuing through Benialí (passing first by the abandoned Moorish village of L'Alcúdia) where the local government building shared by these eight villages is located. The next villages you come across are Benissivà and Benitaia, which are only separated by a road and some stairs. Nearby you can see a washing place with its spring of fresh and crystalline waters. Two kilometres further on is La Carroja, where you go past the spring known as Font de Baix before reaching Alpatró, the next village. Once there, there is a chance to refresh oneself with the water from the Alpatró fountain and to also visit the village washing place. Follow the road until you reach Llombai, a partly uninhabited village with only one street, where you can see the old oil mill infrastructure. From here, go back some metres so as to then continue towards Benissili, the last village on the route. Going up some stairs, you can see the fountain and the washing place. Afterwards, leave the village and pass by the deserted Moorish settlement of La Solaneta, in search of the spring known as Font de la Mata de Benissili, where this route ends.
