Castell de Castells
This route starts from the Castellet area, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountain range in its upper part and the village of Castell de Castells below. On this slope there is a rest and camping area, with water, tables, barbecues and toilets.
From this point, head south along a narrow ascending path, passing by some terraces with olive trees on your right. Very soon there is a section of trail that lets you gain altitude with little effort. Next, you arrive at a crossroads where you can choose to do the circular part of this route in either direction, although the most advisable is clockwise. Continue along a track that leads you to an intersection with the PR 19 and 150 routes. Then, carry on ascending until you reach the Coll de Castellet pass, where you have to turn right, leaving behind the links with the PR 18, 19 and 150 routes. At this point is where the steepest section starts for you, surrounded by some pine trees, until you reach the highest point of the path, next to the castle ruins. Continue walking amongst slopes, with various chances to contemplate the ruins of the Frare well and the wonderful views. Keep going along a comfortable track that leads you to the junction point of the route, returning then along the path you already know, towards the recreational area.
