Facing the side facade of the church one finds the Town Hall building, located where the hermitage of Saint Cristòfol used to be in the 17th century, which itself had been built upon the site of an old Christian necropolis, a burial ground from the period spanning the 14th and 15th centuries.
Amongst other functions, the old hermitage served as a public school and later, until 1890, as the chapel of La Mare de Déu dels Desemparats.
The characteristic porches of the rear façade of this original building stand out, forming an open marketplace where the market used to be held. Of these five arches, all are now closed bar one, which connects the square called Plaça de Baix with the church.
Dating from the 18th to 20th century, the current Town Hall has a neoclassical facade.
