Cala dels Pinets

Cala dels Pinets is a small and wild cove with pebbles and rocks, and crystal-clear waters.

With its wild and secluded character, this cove is perfect for disconnecting, and it is a place from where one can take a hike to an area called Mar Morta i Roques Negres. The first one gets its name from a small lagoon-like area with shallow waters protected by rocks that shield it from the waves. Next to it stand Les Roques Negres, which are rocky formations with iron components that give them a unique ochre and reddish hue.

Sometimes, one can spot “sea tomatoes” in this cove, which are a type of sea anemones with a very intense red colour that resemble tomatoes when closed. On the shore of the cove, it is common to see remnants of leaves and fragments of seagrass (posidonia) and its fruits, also known as sea olives.
