The church known as L'Església de La Nativitat de Nostra Senyora is located in the same square as the Town Hall of Alcalalí. The construction is dated between 1768 and 1808. It was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War and some decades later, in 1961, the reconstruction was completed, although the facade was rehabilitated in 1988. The local people, who until then had hidden the church's valuable items at home, returned them to the reconstructed temple. On the outside, located on one side, there is a square-floored tower with three parts. The church has a neoclassical style with a Latin cross layout and two sections of lateral chapels between the buttresses. The interior contains images of great historical and artistic value, such as the image of El Crist de La Salut. It is possible to also visit the parish museum called Museu Parroquial de Sant Joan de Ribera, which displays old chasubles, paintings, sculptures, goldsmithery, costumes of the Lihori family and, among other objects of interest, a library with the history of the church.
