The stones here speak, because they are a part
of our past and a part of our present.
Xàbia
The lighthouse of the cape known locally as Cap de Sant Antoni rises on this same cliff, in Xàbia, with a total height of 175 metres above sea level.
This 17-metre-high lighthouse was lit up for the first time in 1855, to help illuminate the position of the cape at night for the passing ships. The story goes that the hermits erected it to isolate themselves from worldly life and to defend themselves from pirate raids. (1)
