The amazing Serra d'Oltà mountain range is located less than ten minutes away from the town of Calp. It is 589 metres high and is an essential place to visit for nature lovers, offering a wonderful panoramic view of Calp and the Ifac rock.

The route starts in the camping area of the Oltamar urbanisation, on the eastern slope of the mountain range. From here, follow the indications of the PR-CV 340 route. The first section of the trail leads you along a wide dirt road to Ermita Vella, a recreational area with a source of drinking water. During this part of the route you can already begin to take pleasure in the incredible views of Calp, the Ifac rock and the Mediterranean Sea. Leave the wide path so as to start the ascent by way of a fairly steep trail going through a valley, until you reach the upper plain of the mountain where you come across some old corrals and a water well. From here, continue ascending along a path until you reach the top of the ridge from where the summit can be reached in just a few minutes. A first ascent brings you to the Oltà mountain range, from where you can observe the northern face of Bèrnia, and afterwards you get to the top, from where you can clearly see the Bèrnia, Ferrer and Gelada mountain ranges, and Montgó a little further away. The descent begins by going towards the well known as Pou de la Mola, starting from the corrals. Once you get to the well, continue descending along a clear path and a few minutes later you get to the track that skirts around the mountain range and, heading north, you reach an old porphyry quarry. After a good while walking, you get to the path of the Canal mountain pass. This is where you can once again begin to see the entire municipality of Calp, and from here you get to the camping area where this route started.
