This is a circular variant of the PR-CV 58 route that climbs to the so-called La Figuereta mountain shelter, managed by the Pego Excursionist Center (Centre Excursionista de Pego), and returns to Pego.
The recommended route is the ascent by way of the ravine called Barranc de La Canal and the return journey by way of Les Comes.
The route starts at the panel installed at El Calvari de Pego, from where it is necessary to climb up to the intersection with the ravine and the path to Les Comes. At this point, take the path on the left so as to climb up to the intersection with the path of the Rock Climbing School (Escola de L'Escalada), then turn right and continue ascending and pass next to the summit of Xical (427 metres) so as to finally get to the mountain shelter, which has an extraordinary natural viewpoint from where it is possible to observe the entire valley of Pego.
After this obligatory stop, resume the hike by taking the path that passes through a section of the ravine called Barranc de La Canal. Then, once on the road known as Camí d’Almiserà, follow the indications until the sign that diverts back to the path of Les Comes, which finally leads back to the town.
