La Vall de Gallinera
The Vall de Gallinera Rock Art Route is a circular route that allows us to visit two of the most emblematic rock art sites in these regions. The route, although not very demanding due to its gradient and road surface, is a little more demanding due to its length of 11.37 km; for this reason there is also the possibility of visiting the sites separately, i.e. in two shorter circular routes; one from Benialí, 3.90 km long, and the other from Benirrama, 3.23km long.
Although the star of the route are the rock art sites, the route will surprise us with the panoramic views of the Penya de la Foradà, distinguished by the imposing limestone cliffs and its fertile northern slope, as well as the view of the small villages of Vall de Gallinera, delicately embedded in this majestic scenery as if they had always been part of it. At the same time, the itinerary will unveil some of the most remarkable vestiges of the past, the result of the wise use of the resources of the environment, made at a time when the inhabitants of this valley depended on it for their survival.
