El Barranc de L'Infern is a steep and spectacular ravine located between the towns of La Vall d'Ebo and La Vall de Laguar, in La Marina Alta. The River Girona goes through it. It is the most prominent ravine with regards to canyoning in the Valencian region.

It is of great geological and archaeological interest, as it contains numerous coves with various styles of cave paintings (Levantine art, Iberian schematic art and Iberian macro-schematic art). One can take a hike of great geological and botanical value using the peculiar and characteristic “sendes de ferradura” (horseshoe paths), with steps that separate Fleix and Benimaurell from the respective Juvees d'Enmig and Juvees de Dalt. The Moors built the steps when they settled in this region in the 17th century, fleeing from Christian troops.

The most emblematic place in the area runs between deep wells, pebbled areas and natural slides with such a depth that it seems that one can reach the very centre of the earth: that is why it has earned the name of Barranc de L’Infern (Hell's Ravine). At the end of the canyon, the erosion of the river has sculpted a huge natural vault.

The route is a special place for canyoning lovers, with nine kilometres of falls, waterfalls and giant marmites. It requires skill and knowledge of speleology since climbing equipment is necessary.
