Riuraus are a peculiar construction typical of La Marina Alta, consisting of a building with a rectangular plan oriented towards the south and open towards the outside by way of a series of arches.
They are constructions from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries that had the purpose of protecting Muscat grapes from rain and moisture during the drying process undertaken to turn them into raisins.
The town of Parcent has several riuraus that can be visited, which are part of the route known as Ruta dels Riuraus:
- Private riuraus
- The so-called Riurau del Primo (by prior appointment)
- Cellars
- The path known as Camí de La Pansa
