This is a linear route with a low difficulty level and an estimated duration of one hour. The starting point is located almost at the end of the road called Carretera de Les Rotes, in Dénia, from where Carrer Via Làctia has to be taken, 30 metres to the left. After about 800 metres along a steep slope, the route arrives at Torre del Gerro, an old sentinel tower which was used to look out for incursions by Barbary pirates in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Behind the tower, a sign indicates the trail to follow: continue along a stony path without slopes which reaches an old farm house in ruins. At this point, the path turns into a wide dirt track that reaches the road that goes towards the cape known as Cap de Sant Antoni. Cross the asphalt road in front and continue walking between the houses and old rain-fed crop fields until reaching some mills, which have the typical style of La Marina Alta for these constructions and are a reminder of the importance that wheat cultivation had in the past. These mills are currently being restored.

The route provides an overview of the Montgó massif, the plains of Cap de Sant Antoni and the local marine nature reserve.
